The Traffic (Rotorua District) Notice 1996
Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and to a delegation from the Minister of Transport dated 31 August 1990, I, Grant Stewart Ellis Milne, Secretary for Transport, give the following notice:
Notice
(1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Rotorua District) Notice 1996.
(2) Those localities and roads within markings identified in the legend of and appearing on the plan numbered TT9623/1, entitled “Rotorua District Council Speed Restrictions in Rotorua Urban Area”, TT9623/2, entitled “Rotorua District Council Speed Restrictions at Otautu Bay, Kennedy Bay and Manaku”, TT9623/3, entitled “Rotorua District Council Speed Restrictions at Okere Falls”, and TT9623/4, entitled “Rotorua District Council Speed Restrictions at Rotoma and Rotoiti”, and held by the Head Office of the Land Transport Safety Authority, are declared to be closely populated localities at all times, pursuant to section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962; or 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas or limited speed zones, pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, or are excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, pursuant to section 52 (2) of the Transport Act 1962, as may be ascertained from the legend.
(3) The following notices are revoked:
(a) The Traffic (Rotorua District) Notice No. 1, 1991*.
(b) Those parts of the Traffic (Rotorua District) Notice No. 2, 1987† which relate to roads situated within the Rural Division of Rotorua at Mamaku and Okere Falls.
(c) The Traffic (Rotorua District) Notice No. 1, 1992‡.

Pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and to a delegation from the Minister of Transport dated 31 August 1990, I, Grant Stewart Ellis Milne, Secretary for Transport, give the following notice:

(1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waipa District) Notice 1996.
(2) The road specified in the Schedule is declared to be a 70 kilometres an hour speed limit area, pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.
(3) That part of the First Schedule to the Traffic (Waipa District) Notice No. 2 1992* which relates to that section of road specified in the Schedule hereto, is revoked.

Situated within Waipa District at Cambridge:
Thornton Road: from a point 50 metres measured easterly generally along Thornton Road from MacLean Street to a point 1600 metres measured easterly along Thornton Road from MacLean Street.
