Securities Amendment Act 1988

The Authorised Futures Dealers Notice 1996 (No. 4), Amendment No. 1

Pursuant to the Securities Amendment Act 1988, the Securities Commission gives the following notice.

Notice

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as The Authorised Futures Dealers Notice 1996 (No. 4), Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together and deemed part of the Authorised Futures Dealers Notice 1996 (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).

(2) This notice shall come into force on the day of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. Interpretation—Clause 2 of the principal notice is hereby amended by deleting the definition of “electricity price hedge contract” and substituting the following definition:

“‘electricity price hedge contract’ means a futures contract between persons who are either designated dealers or persons named in clause 3 (2) (a) of this notice pursuant to which each party seeks some certainty as to electricity prices.

3. Schedule of principal notice amended—The Schedule to the principal notice is hereby amended by adding the name “Contact Energy Limited”.

Conservation

Reserves Act 1977

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Otago Conservancy, Department of Conservation, hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve over the land described in the Schedule hereto, and further declares that the said land may be leased or sold by The Dunedin City Council on such terms and conditions as the council shall determine the proceeds from any such leasing or sale to be paid into the council’s reserves account such moneys to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other reserves under the control of the council or in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.
