Notification of Withdrawal of Indicative Referendum Petition

Pursuant to section 22A (3) of the Citizens Initiated Referenda Act 1993, I hereby give notice that on 30 April 1996, the Voluntary Euthanasia Society (Auckland) Inc withdrew its indicative referendum petition on the question—

“Should people 18 years and over who are terminally or incurably ill be permitted to have their lives ended if they request this, in a humane manner and in accordance with procedures to be established?”
