SECOND SCHEDULE

Amount of Anti-Dumping Duty to be Secured

The amount of anti-dumping duty to be secured in respect of subject goods, imported or intended to be imported into New Zealand from Thailand, shall be equal to the amount by which the free-on-board value (being “Customs value” as defined in section 2 (1) of the Customs Act 1966) is less than the non-injurious free-on-board import price of NZ$2.0865 per m².

Initiation of Dumping Investigation: Canned Apricots From South Africa

Notice is hereby given that, acting pursuant to section 10 (1) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988, and under delegated authority from the Secretary of Commerce, I have initiated an investigation to determine both the existence and effect of the alleged dumping of the goods described and from the country of origin specified in the Schedule to this notice, being satisfied that sufficient evidence has been provided that—

(a) The goods imported or intended to be imported into New Zealand are being dumped; and

(b) By reason thereof material injury to an industry has been or is being caused,—

and also being satisfied that the collective output of those New Zealand producers who have, in writing, expressed support for the application constitutes—

(a) Twenty-five percent or more of the total New Zealand production of like goods produced for domestic consumption (assessed during the most recent representative period, being not less than 6 months); and

(b) More than 50 percent of the total production of like goods produced for domestic consumption (as so assessed) by those New Zealand producers who have, in writing, expressed support for or opposition to the application.

Description of Goods
Canned apricots packed (as apricot halves) in various concentrations of sugar syrup and in can sizes ranging from 410 grams to 3 kilograms.

The goods are currently classified under Tariff Item and Statistical Key 2008.50.09 00C of the Tariff of New Zealand, which classification is provided for convenience and Customs purposes only, the written description being dispositive.

Invitation for Submissions

Pursuant to section 154 of the Education Act 1989, and acting under the authority delegated to me, I hereby declare that Rangiotu School (2432), Palmerston North, will close on the 27th day of April 1996 and will cease to be established on that day.

Supplementary Integration Agreement

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary integration agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen acting through the Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the proprietor of the following school:

St Matthew’s School, Hastings.

The said supplementary integration agreement was executed on the 18th day of April 1996. A copy of the supplementary agreement is available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the district office of the Ministry of Education, 65 Waterloo Road, Lower Hutt.
