Change of the Classification of Part of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Tongariro/Taupo Regional Conservator of the Department of Conservation, hereby changes the classification of that part of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, from a local purpose reserve (segregation) to a recreation reserve, subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Classification of Reserve and Declaration That the Reserve be Part of the Table Hill Scenic Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Department of Conservation, Otago Conservancy, hereby classifies the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, as a scenic reserve, for the purposes specified in section 19 (1) (a) of the Reserves Act 1977, and further declares the said reserve to form part of the Table Hill Scenic Reserve.

Revocation of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Canterbury, hereby revokes the reservation as a local purpose (gravel removal) reserve over the land described in the Schedule hereto, and further, declares that the said land may be disposed of by The Christchurch City Council at such price, and on such terms and conditions as the council shall determine. Proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the council’s reserves account, such money to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other reserves under the control of the council, or in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.

Resource Management Act 1991

Transfer of Esplanade Reserve

Pursuant to section 237D (1) of the Resource Management Act 1991, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator of the Northland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, with the prior written agreement of The Far North District Council, hereby declares that the esplanade reserve described in the Schedule hereto, shall cease to be vested in and administered by The Far North District Council, but instead shall vest in the Crown and be classified as a local purpose (esplanade) reserve, subject to the Reserves Act 1977, and shall be administered by the Minister of Conservation in accordance with this classification.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

Pursuant to section 338 (1) of Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Maori Land Court, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of tribal uses and a meeting place for the common use and benefit of the Ngati Pukeko Hapu.
