Proposed Release of Deposit

Insurance Companies’ Deposits Act 1953

R & V Allgemeine Versicherung AG (hereinafter called “the company”) has given notice to the public trustee that it has ceased to carry on the business of insurance in New Zealand and that it proposes to withdraw pursuant to section 19 of the Act, the deposit which has been made by it with the public trustee.

The public trustee therefore gives notice, pursuant to section 19 (3) of the Act, that being satisfied that all liabilities of the company in New Zealand in respect of such insurance business have been fully liquidated or provided for, he proposes to release to the company on or after 30 April 1996, the amount deposited with him by the company.

Any objections to the release of the amount deposited should be lodged with the public trustee at the Public Trust Office, 117–125 Lambton Quay, Wellington 1, on or before 20 April 1996.

Electricity Act 1992

Notice of Disciplinary Action Taken by the Electrical Workers Registration Board

The Registrar of the Electrical Workers Registration Board (the board), having been directed by the board, and in accordance with section 139 of the Electricity Act 1992, gives notice of the following registered electrical workers having been disciplined by the board under Part XI of the Electricity Act 1992, and of the effect of the decision or order of the board.

Clifford Cleverly (also known as Clifford Harrington) of Auckland, had his name removed from the register. This removal took effect on 6 December 1995.

Warren James Dickson of Marton, was fined $500 and ordered to pay costs of $200. The fine and costs to be paid by 22 April 1996.

Peter Richard McLean of Auckland, had his registration suspended for 3 months and fined $500. This suspension took effect on 6 December 1995. The fine to be paid by 20 February 1996.

Andrew Dan Louie of Lower Hutt, was sent a letter of censure dated 29 January 1996.

Michael John Gregory Elliott of Christchurch, was sent a letter of censure dated 12 February 1996.

Evan Raymond Butt of Christchurch, was sent a letter of censure dated 12 February 1996.

Clive Milton Thomas of Motueka, was sent a letter of censure dated 12 February 1996.

Education Act 1989

Waiariki Polytechnic Amendment Notice 1996

Pursuant to section 170 of the Education Act 1989 (as inserted by section 37 of the Education Amendment Act 1990), the Minister of Education gives the following notice:

1. This notice may be cited as the Waiariki Polytechnic Amendment Notice 1996.

2. This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

3. The notice entitled Waiariki Polytechnic Notice 1990 published in the New Zealand Gazette on 29 November 1990, No. 209, page 4502, is hereby amended by deleting clauses 3 (o) and 3 (p) and substituting them with the following subclauses:

   “3 (o) One forestry industry representative to be appointed by the Waiariki Polytechnic Forest Education Centre Advisory Committee.

   3 (p) One member appointed by the boards of trustees of the secondary schools listed in the First Schedule of this notice.”
