Civil Aviation Act 1990

Notice of Variation of an International Air Service Licence

Pursuant to section 87Q (4) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, and a delegation from the Secretary for Transport, dated 28 August 1996, I give notice that, having received an application from Royal Tongan Airlines of Nuku’alofa, Tonga, I have varied the International Air Service Licence held by that airline to reflect its designation by the Government of Niue to operate air services to Auckland in accordance with the Air Services Agreement between Niue and New Zealand and, as a consequence, to allow the airline to operate a dedicated air service between Niue and Auckland, optionally via Tonga, with up to one B737 return flight per week, with effect from 28 October 1996.

The Acting Government Actuary hereby gives notice that he has delivered to the Minister of Finance his annual report for the year ended 30 June 1996, reporting on the principal matters transacted under or pursuant to the Superannuation Schemes Act 1989, and has, with the consent of the Minister of Finance, published the annual report.

Traffic Regulations 1976

Amendment to the Exemption of Certain Vehicles Owned by Airline Companies From Particular Equipment Requirements While Used on Specified Roads

Pursuant to regulation 90 of the Traffic Regulations 1976, I, Peter Nicholas Rendall, Senior Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby exempt the motor vehicles specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements contained within regulations 58 to 64 (inclusive), regulations 68 to 76 (inclusive) and regulations 84 to 87 (inclusive) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, subject to the conditions specified within Schedule 2 of this notice.

Vehicle Details

Tractors and trailers used to transport quarantine waste, owned by Christchurch International Airport Ltd.

Schedule 2

Conditions

(i) All the conditions listed in Schedule 2 of a Gazette notice having the same title, published in the New Zealand Gazette on 23 June 1994, No. 62, page 2089, are fulfilled;

(ii) This exemption may be revoked at any time.

Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Traffic Regulations 1976

Pursuant to regulation 90 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, I, Peter Nicholas Rendall, Senior Vehicle Compliance Officer, hereby exempt the motor vehicle specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements contained within regulation 78 (1) (a) and (b) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, subject to the conditions specified within Schedule 2 of this notice.
