(i) A printed ballot paper setting out the full names of each candidate for election, the method of marking the ballot paper to indicate the beneficiary’s preference, the address to which the ballot paper is to be returned, and the latest time for its return; and

(ii) The declaration form required by regulation 10 of the Maori Trust Boards Regulations 1985:

(c) Ballot papers shall, not later than the 1st day of April 1996, be posted to or lodged with the Returning Officer appointed for the purpose of the election by the Minister:

(d) The Secretary of the Aupouri Maori Trust Board shall, not later than the 17th day of April 1996, forward to the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Maori Development the names of the persons elected as members to represent the Ngataki division of the beneficiaries of the Board:

(e) Subject to paragraphs (a) to (d) of this clause, the provisions of the Maori Trust Boards Act 1955 shall apply to and in respect of the election.

Explanatory Note

This note is not part of the order, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This order—

(a) Declares invalid an election of members to represent the Ngataki division of the beneficiaries of the Aupouri Maori Trust Board that was held on 28 January 1995; and

(b) Provides for the holding of a fresh election of members to represent the Ngataki division of the beneficiaries of the Aupouri Maori Trust Board.

Notice of Appointment of Member to the Valuers Registration Board

Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to section 3 of the Valuers Act 1948, the Minister in Charge of the Valuation Department has appointed

John Patrick Larmer

to be a member of the Valuers Registration Board, to hold office for a term of 3 years, commencing on the 1st day of February 1996.

This appointment is made on the recommendation of the New Zealand Institute of Valuers, pursuant to section 3 (2) (b) of the said Act.

Casino Control Act 1990

Rules of Casino Table Games, Amendment No. 1

Pursuant to section 63 of the Casino Control Act 1990, the Casino Control Authority on 14 February 1996 resolved that Division II of the Rules of Casino Table Games approved to be conducted and played in the licensed casinos at:

(a) 30–38 Victoria Street, Christchurch; and

(b) the property bounded by Hobson, Victoria, Federal and Wellesley Streets, Auckland,

as set out in the Supplement dated Friday, 26 January 1996 to the New Zealand Gazette of Thursday, 25 January 1996, be amended as set out below.

1.0 Commencement

This amendment shall come into force at 10.00 a.m. on the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

2.0 Insurance Wagers

Rule 9.3 of this division is hereby amended by omitting the words “but at least the minimum permissible wager”.
