Surveyors Examination

The New Zealand Acts and Regulations written examination will be held on Friday, 15 November 1996 at 9 a.m.

Applications on the proper form, together with the prescribed fee must reach the secretary of the board before 25 October 1996.

Application forms and information about the board’s requirements should be obtained from the undersigned.

The prescribed fee for the examination is $56.50, includes G.S.T.

Summary of Exemptions Granted by the Director of Civil Aviation

Pursuant to section 37 of the Civil Aviation Act 1990, notification is hereby given of exemptions, set out in the Schedule hereto, granted by the Director of Civil Aviation.

Nature of exemptions granted:

Docket 97/EXE/8, to Conair Aviation Limited on 27 September 1996. From 137.5. To allow Conair to perform a commercial agricultural operation limited to those operations performed on behalf of the New Zealand Ministry of Forestry. For the period of Operation Evergreen.

Docket 97/EXE/9, to John Theodore Mitchell on 27 September 1996. From the provisions of 137.3 (1) and (2) and 137.61 (3). To exempt Mr Mitchell from holding current agricultural and chemical ratings, and from the minimum height restrictions of Part 137 over a populous area. While performing the operation for Conair and the Ministry of Forestry known as Operation Evergreen.

Docket 97/EXE/10, to Robert Warren Caryk on 27 September 1996. From the provisions of 137.3 (1) and (2) and 137.61 (3). To exempt Mr Caryk from holding current agricultural and chemical ratings, and from the minimum height restrictions of Part 137 over a populous area. While performing the operation for Conair and the Ministry of Forestry known as Operation Evergreen.

The grant or denial of exemptions is also published in the Civil Aviation Rules Register Information Leaflet (CARRIL), a 6-weekly publication of the Civil Aviation Authority. Exemption Docket files can be viewed on prior request to the Registrar at the office of the Civil Aviation Authority at 1 Market Grove (P.O. Box 31-441), Lower Hutt.
