Conservation

Conservation Act 1987

Anglers Notice for Fish and Game Regions

Pursuant to section 26R (3) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation approves the following amendment to the Anglers Notice for Fish and Game Regions, supplement to the New Zealand Gazette, 2 September 1996, No. 100, commencing at page 2598.

1. Amendment—(1) At page 2601 of the above Anglers Notice, Second Schedule, clause 6 of the Hawke’s Bay Fish and Game Region Notice—Minimum/Maximum Size to be Taken—is amended as follows:

   (1.1) “Pakaututu Road Bridge” is amended to “Pakaututu Road Bridge”.

   (1.2) Every reference to “500 mm maximum” is amended to “550 mm maximum”.

2. Force—This amendment shall come into force upon being gazetted.

Order for Confiscation of Motor Vehicle

Pursuant to Section 84 of the Criminal Justice Act 1985

On 10 September 1996, at the District Court at Tauranga, Nicholas Maxwell Powell of 5 Nicolas Place, Tauranga, was convicted and sentenced to 2 months periodic detention and disqualified from holding or obtaining a motor driver’s licence for 6 months from 9 December 1996, following his conviction on 3 charges of driving whilst disqualified and dangerous driving, and in addition to the above-named penalty, Judge J. R. Callander has ordered that a

owned by the above-mentioned defendant, Nicholas Maxwell Powell, be forfeited to Her Majesty the Queen, pursuant to section 84 (4) of the Criminal Justice Act 1985.

The vehicle is to be surrendered to the Registrar, District Court, Tauranga or a Bailiff of the District Court, Tauranga, by 5.00 p.m. on the 10th day of September 1996.
