Resource Management Act 1991

The Resource Management (Approval of Bay of Plenty Electricity Limited as Requiring Authority) Notice 1996

Pursuant to section 167 of the Resource Management Act 1991, the Minister for the Environment, hereby gives the following notice:

N o t i c e

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Resource Management (Approval of Bay of Plenty Electricity Limited as Requiring Authority) Notice 1996.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the 28th day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. Interpretation—In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires, “line function services” has the same meaning as in section 2(1) of the Electricity Act 1992.

3. Approval as requiring authority—Bay of Plenty Electricity Limited is hereby approved as a requiring authority under section 167 of the Resource Management Act 1991, for its network utility operation of the supply of line function services.

Fisheries Act 1983

Fisheries (Quota Aggregation Limit Exemption) Notice (No. 2) 1996 (No. F44)

Pursuant to section 28W (3) of the Fisheries Act 1983, the Minister of Fisheries, after consultation with the New Zealand Fishing Industry Board and the Treaty of Waitangi Fisheries Commission and after having regard to the provisions of section 28W (5) of the Fisheries Act 1983, hereby gives the following notice.

N o t i c e

1. Title and commencement—(a) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Quota Aggregation Limit Exemption) Notice (No. 2) 1996 (No. F44)

(b) This notice shall come into effect 14 days after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. Interpretation—In this notice:

(a) Any reference to Quota Management Area means the appropriate Quota Management Area as defined in the Fisheries (Quota Management Areas, Total Allowable Catches and Catch Histories) Notice 1986*.

(b) Species are specified by way of fishstock codes, being Fishstock codes defined in the Second Schedule of the Fisheries (Reporting) Regulations 1990†.

(c) “Talley’s Group” means Amaltal Corporation Limited, Ocean Products Limited, Talley’s Fisheries Limited and McDonald & Brown Limited, and any companies owned or controlled by those companies.

3. Exemption to quota aggregation limit—As from the date that this notice comes into effect, the Talley’s Group is permitted to hold quota and interest in quota in excess of the 20 percent aggregation limit for quota management area 7, as provided in section 28W (1)(d) of the Fisheries Act 1983, for the following species, up to the percentage limits as specified in the table below:

Pursuant to section 23 of the Medicines Act 1981, the Minister of Health hereby provisionally consents to the sale, supply or use in New Zealand of the new medicine set out in the Schedule hereto:
