PURSUANT to section 18 (1) of the Constitution Act 1986, and in accordance with section 19 of that Act, I, The Right Honourable Sir Michael Hardie Boys, Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby summon the Parliament of New Zealand to meet in the Parliament House, in the City of Wellington, at 2.00 p.m. on Tuesday, the 10th day of December 1996.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 6th day of September 1996.
