point of the breakwater at position 44° 40'.163 S 167° 55'.512 E, then in a southerly direction along the low water line on the eastern side of the breakwater to position 44° 40'.205 S 167° 55'.562 E, then in a 015° 5' direction for 122.5 metres to position 44° 40'.142 S 167° 55'.590 E, then in a 284° 19' direction to the position of commencement. This area so described is generally that area of water at Freshwater Basin enclosed by a line from the end of the breakwater to the Trig Station on the opposite bank, not, as at 1 September 1995, used for berthing vessels.
Second Schedule

No person shall moor, anchor or otherwise leave a vessel stationary within the area defined in the First Schedule hereto.

All persons in charge of a vessel shall adhere to and keep the provisions of all Acts and regulations not specifically exempted by this notice.

All persons shall comply with any directions given by the harbourmaster, his deputy, assistant or representative.

Transport Act 1962
School Crossing Point Trial
Pursuant to section 78 of the Transport Act 1962, the Land Transport Safety Authority of New Zealand authorises the erection installation and maintenance of the signs and road markings as described in Diagram 1 of the Schedule for use as experimental signs and markings in substitution for the pedestrian crossing signs and markings specified in the Traffic Regulations 1976, subject to the terms and conditions described in the Schedule, and for the purposes of evaluating the use of the said signs and markings. This substitution shall be called the School Crossing Point Trial.
Schedule
1. Locations approved:
The following locations shall be those approved for use in the School Crossing Point Trial.
(a) Christchurch City
- State Highway 75 at the intersection with Larsens Road
(b) Hastings District
- Windsor Avenue: at a point more or less 20 metres southwesterly generally of Howard Street
(c) Nelson City
- Vanguard Street: at a point more or less 50 metres northerly generally of Franklyn Street.
2. Duration of the Trial
The period of the School Crossing Point Trial shall start after the 15th day of September 1995 and shall end on the 31st day of August 1997 unless gazetted otherwise and shall cover all signs, and markings as specified in Diagram 1.
3. Equipment and layout of trial sites
The signs specified in Diagram 1 shall be those specified in the Traffic Regulations 1976 and the Manual of Sign and Markings : 1993. A special P2 type children flag sign with a black symbol on a fluorescent orange/red background is to be used adjacent to the crossing point.
Two white poles shall be erected on each approach to the School Crossing Point as specified in Diagram 1.
All crossing points are to be supervised by an adult during the time of the trial, and all signs, and flags are to be removed from the site(s) when the school patrol is not operating.
Any person operating as a school patrol or school warden at a school crossing point specified under this notice shall be equipped with the approved uniform as set out in the School Traffic Safety Team Manual.
4. Equivalent signs and markings
For the purpose of the School Crossing Point Trial, the crossing point definition lines, the P2 flag (fluorescent orange/red background with black children symbol) and the limit line and centre markings as laid out in Diagram 1 shall be the equivalent of the pedestrian crossing for the purpose of section 91 (3) (a) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 and diagram No. 1 in the Third Schedule to the regulations PROVIDED that the foregoing shall not apply unless one or both of the special P2 type flags is mounted on the support post and the crossing point definition lines and limit line markings are in place.
For the purposes of the School Crossing Point Trial, the R29 sign (School Patrol) which is set out in the Fourth Schedule to the Traffic Regulations 1976, shall be used to stop traffic in the manner specified in the School Traffic Safety Team Manual.
This notice shall come into force on the 15th day of September 1995.
