Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

Pursuant to section 338 (1) of Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Maori Land Court, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purposes of a marae village and papakainga housing and part as wahi tapu for a burial ground and place of historical interest for the common use and benefit of the descendants of Hare Tokotu or Charlie Sergeant.

Notice Redefining the Purpose of a Maori Reservation

Pursuant to section 338 (5) (c) of Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Maori Land Court, the purposes for which the Maori reservation in respect of the land described in the Schedule hereto, was created by notice published in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 45, page 1636, are hereby redefined for the purpose of a meeting place, marae and papakainga for the common use and benefit of the Whanau of Wharewhiti and Hana Cotter and the Iwi, to be known as Nga Pakiaka Ki Te Iwi.
