Order
- Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Local Government (Wellington Region and Gisborne Region) Reorganisation Amendment Order 1995.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.
Part I
Wellington Region
-
Preliminary—This part of this order shall be read together with and deemed part of the Local Government (Wellington Region) Reorganisation Order 1989*.

Boundary of Wellington City and Porirua City—The boundary between Wellington City and Porirua City is hereby altered by—
(a) excluding from Wellington City, all that piece of land in the Wellington Land District containing 24.8340 hectares, more or less, being Lot 1, D.P. 77503, and including that area in Porirua City; and
(b) excluding from Porirua City all that area—
(i) containing 3.1360 hectares, more or less, being Lot 1, D.P. 51158, Block II, Belmont Survey District; and
(ii) of road containing 0.1680 hectares, more or less, being that portion of Takapu Road bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 31023 and Section 46, S.O. Plan No. 30364 and Takapu Road, then proceeding generally north-easterly along the northern boundary of Takapu Road to a point at the intersection of the boundaries of Sections 43 and 40, S.O. Plan No. 22928, then south-westerly along a right line to the centreline of Takapu Road, thence generally westerly along the centreline of Takapu Road to a point in line with the extension of the boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 31023 and Section 46, S.O. Plan No. 30364 with Takapu Road, then south-westerly along that line to the point of commencement;
and including that area in Wellington City.
- Wards—The boundaries of the Northern and Tawa Wards of the Wellington City, and the Titahi Bay and Cannons Creek Wards of the Porirua City, are hereby amended by—
(a) excluding from the Northern Ward of the Wellington City as delineated on S.O. Plan No. 35961 and lodged with the Chief Surveyor of the Wellington Land District all that area—
(i) containing 20.1780 hectares, more or less, being Lot 3, D.P. 77503; and
(ii) containing all that area described in paragraph (a) of clause 3 of this order;
(b) including in the Tawa Ward of the Wellington City as delineated on S.O. Plan No. 35960, deposited with the Chief Surveyor of the Wellington Land District, all that area described in paragraph (a) (i) of this clause;
(c) including in the Titahi Bay Ward of the Porirua City as delineated on S.O. Plan No. 35968, deposited with the Chief Surveyor of the Wellington Land District, all that area described in paragraph (a) (ii) of this clause;
(d) excluding from the Cannons Creek Ward of the Porirua City as delineated on S.O. Plan No. 35969 and lodged with the Chief Surveyor of the Wellington Land District all that area—
(i) described in paragraph (b) (i) of clause 3 of this order; and
(ii) described in paragraph (b) (ii) of clause 3 of this order.
- Boundary of Tawa and Makara-Ohariu Communities—The boundaries of the Tawa and the Makara-Ohariu Communities are hereby altered by—
(a) including in the Tawa Community of the Wellington City as delineated on S.O. Plan No. 35960, deposited with the Chief Surveyor of the Wellington Land District, all that area described in paragraphs (a) (i), (d) (i) and (d) (ii) of clause 4 of this order; and
(b) including in the Makara-Ohariu Community of the Wellington City as delineated on S.O. Plan No. 36004, deposited with the Chief Surveyor of the Wellington Land District, all that area containing 28.8190 hectares, more or less, being Lot 2, D.P. 77503.
- Constitution of Wellington North and Porirua Constituencies—The boundaries of the Wellington North and the Porirua Constituencies of the Wellington Region are altered by—
(a) excluding from the Wellington North Constituency as described on S.O. Plan No. 37433, deposited with the Chief Surveyor of the Wellington Land District, all that area described in paragraph (a) of clause 3 of this order and including that area in the Porirua Constituency as described in the Seventh Schedule to the Local Government Amendment Act 1992;
(b) excluding from the Porirua Constituency as described in the Seventh Schedule to the Local Government Amendment Act 1992, all that area described in paragraph (b) (i) and (ii) of clause 3 of this order and including that area in the Wellington North Constituency, as described on S.O. Plan No. 37433, deposited with the Chief Surveyor of the Wellington Land District.
Part II
Gisborne Region

Preliminary—This part of this order shall be read together with and deemed part of the Local Government (Gisborne Region) Reorganisation Order 1989† (referred to in this part as “the Order”).

Constitution of Gisborne District and Gisborne Region—Clause 3 of the order is hereby amended by omitting clause 3, and substituting the following clause:
“3. (a) There shall be constituted a district, to be known as ‘The Gisborne District’, which shall comprise the area delineated on S.O. Plan No. 8378, deposited with the Chief Surveyor of the Gisborne Land District.
(b) There shall be constituted a region, to be known as ‘The Gisborne Region’, which shall comprise the area delineated on S.O. Plan No. 8379, deposited with the Chief Surveyor of the Gisborne Land District.”
