Transit New Zealand Act 1989

Bylaw Fixing the Maximum Speed of Vehicles on Parts of State Highway No. 6 at Punakaiki at 80 K/PH

Pursuant to section 61 (2) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, and section 72 (1) (j) of the Transport Act 1962, Transit New Zealand makes the following bylaw.

  1. This bylaw may be cited as Transit New Zealand Bylaw 1995/5.

  2. This bylaw shall come into force immediately.

  3. In this bylaw “motor vehicle” has the meaning assigned to it in section 2 (1) of the Transport Act 1962.

  4. No person shall drive a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 80 kilometres an hour on those sections of State Highway No. 6 at Punakaiki in Buller District from a point (at RP 374/10.68) 240 metres north of the northern abutment of the Porarari River Bridge to a point (at RP 374/12.02) 1.10 kilometres south of the northern abutment of the Porarari River Bridge—a distance of approximately 1.34 kilometres, and from a point (at RP 374/12.63) 660 metres north of the northern abutment of the Punakaiki River Bridge to a point (at RP 388/0.72) 720 metres south of the northern abutment of the Punakaiki River Bridge—a distance of approximately 1.38 kilometres.

  5. Every person who commits an offence under this bylaw is liable upon summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $500.

This bylaw is made by delegated authority from the Transit New Zealand Authority.

No person shall drive a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 60 kilometres an hour on that section of State Highway No. 6 at Punakaiki in the Buller District, from a point (at RP 374/12.02) 1.10 kilometres south of the northern abutment of the Porarari River Bridge to a point (at RP 374/12.63) 660 metres north of the northern abutment of the Punakaiki River Bridge—a distance of approximately 610 metres.

  5. Every person who commits an offence under this bylaw is liable upon summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $500.

This bylaw is made by delegated authority from the Transit New Zealand Authority.

Reserves Act 1977

Classification of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Wanganui Regional Conservator, Department of Conservation, hereby classifies the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, as a recreation reserve, subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Wellington Land District—Wanganui District

7.0820 hectares, more or less, being Section 497, Left Bank Wanganui River, situated in Block V, Ikitaru Survey District (S.O. 25965). New Zealand Gazette, 1966, page 637.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Part of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Otago Conservancy, Department of Conservation, hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve for local purpose (site for municipal buildings) over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Schedule

Otago Land District—Central Otago District

236 square metres, more or less, being Section 2, S.O. 24214, Block XIV, Town of Alexandra. Part certificate of title 15B/658.
