Notice of Approval of a Statement of Preferred Work Practices Under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992

Pursuant to section 20 (3) of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992, and whereas subsections (3) (a) and (3) (b) of section 20 of that Act have been fulfilled and complied with, the Minister of Labour hereby gives notice that he approves a statement of preferred work practices which is an approved code of practice for powder actuated hand held fastening tools.

Notice of Intention to Apply for Ministerial Approval of a Code of Practice Under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992—Rigging Operations

Pursuant to section 20 of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992, I, R. J. M. Hill, General Manager, Occupational and Health Service of the Department of Labour, in exercise of those powers delegated to me by the Secretary of Labour pursuant to section 40 of the State Sector Act 1988, hereby give notice of intention to apply to the Minister of Labour for his approval of a statement of preferred work practices or arrangements for health and safety in rigging operations as to an “Approved Code of Practice”, under the Act.

These preferred work practices or arrangements are designed to describe the general operational safety provisions as to the selection and use of rigging equipment, erection of structural steel work, load movement and
