Notice of Indemnity Given Pursuant to Section 59 (1) of the Public Finance Act 1989—The Proceeds of Crime Act 1991
Pursuant to section 59 (2) of the Public Finance Act 1989, the Minister of Finance makes the following statement:
On the 1st day of March 1995, I, William Francis Birch, Minister of Finance, gave an indemnity pursuant to section 59 (1) of the Public Finance Act 1989 to the Official Assignee of New Zealand, in respect of the custody, control and administration of property forfeited or funds recovered by way of pecuniary penalty order under the Proceeds of Crime Act 1991.
