Animal Remedies Act 1967

Approved Woolmarking Preparations Notice No. 5400 (Ag. 1300–38)

Pursuant to section 63B (4) of the Animal Remedies Act 1967 and after consultation with the New Zealand Wool Board, I hereby give notice that the woolmarking preparation set out in the Schedule hereto (being a product of Bomac Laboratories Limited) is approved as suitable for use for all purposes in making marks on the wool of sheep.

This approval takes effect on the day following the date of publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

Notice Declaring Universities, Veterinary Colleges and Institutions and Degrees and Diplomas From Such Universities, Veterinary Colleges and Institutions as Recognised (Notice No. 5398)

Pursuant to section 12 of the Veterinarians Act 1994, the Veterinary Council of New Zealand hereby gives the following notice:

The Veterinary Council of New Zealand declares that the following universities, veterinary colleges and institutions, and degrees and diplomas in veterinary science conferred by such universities, veterinary colleges and institutions, shall be recognised for the purposes of section 9 of the Veterinarians Act 1994:

Electricity Act 1992

Approval of Electrical Code of Practice for Determination of Maximum Demand in Electrical Installations

Pursuant to section 36 of the Electricity Act 1992 (“the Act”) on the 11th day of August 1994 the Secretary of Commerce issued the Electrical Code of Practice for Determination of Maximum Demand in Electrical Installations (“the code”).

On the 25th day of August 1994, pursuant to section 38 of the Act the Secretary published in the New Zealand Gazette a notice of intention to apply to me for approval of the code, and there has been consultation with such persons (or their representatives) as will be affected by the code and they have had the opportunity to consider possible effects and comment on those effects.

I have considered the comments concerning those effects and where necessary amendments were made to the code.

Therefore, pursuant to section 38 of the Act, I, Douglas Lorimer Kidd, Minister of Energy, have this day approved the code as attached to this approval, which code shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1995.

Temporary Safeguard Authorities Act 1987

Report on the Importation of Reinforced Abrasives

Pursuant to section 7 (1) of the Temporary Safeguard Authorities Act 1987, the Temporary Safeguard Authority appointed to inquire into the importation of reinforced abrasive grinding discs and cut off wheels, has now reported to the Minister of Commerce.

Copies of the non-confidential version of the report are available from the Trade Remedies Group, Ministry of Commerce, P.O. Box 1473, Wellington, at a G.S.T. inclusive price of $12.65 per copy.
