Marine Mammals Protection Regulations 1992

Helicopter Landings on Taumaka Island, Haast

Pursuant to regulation 18 (h) of the Marine Mammals Protection Regulations 1992, the Director-General of Conservation hereby authorises only helicopters being used as part of operations for scientific research, or for management of the island’s natural and historic resources, or for hut and facilities maintenance, to be closer than 150 metres (500 feet) horizontally from a point directly above any New Zealand fur seal (but no closer than 10 metres from any New Zealand fur seal), for the purpose of landing on the landing pad on the island of Taumaka in the Open Bay Islands near Haast. The landing pad is approximately located at NZMS 260 map grid reference point F37 21796 56972.

Note: This authority is separate from any access authority that is required from the landowner.

Education Act 1989

Establishment of a Primary School

Pursuant to section 146 of the Education Act 1989, I hereby establish a primary school to be known as Tahatai Coast School, at Evans Road, Papamoa.

Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1990

Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre

Pursuant to regulation 14 of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1990, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary of Education, I hereby cancel the licence, dated 24 February 1994, which was granted under those regulations to Kararaina Harmer in respect of Te Arohanui Kohanga Reo, situated at 29 Essex Crescent, Whakatu, Hastings.

The centre has voluntarily closed as from 23 September 1995.

This notice shall take effect the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975

Supplementary Integration Agreement

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary integration agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen acting through the Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the proprietor of the following school:

St Dominic’s School, Blockhouse Bay.

The said supplementary integration agreement was executed on the 8th day of November 1995. A copy of the supplementary agreement is available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the district office of the Ministry of Education, 6-10 Nugent Street, Auckland.
