Fisheries Act 1983

Notice Declaring Offices at Which Fishing Vessels May be Registered and Appointing Registrars of Fisheries (No. F8)

Pursuant to section 56 of the Fisheries Act 1983, the Acting Manager Fisheries Services, MAF Fisheries, acting pursuant to a delegated authority, hereby gives the following notice:

1. Commencement—This notice comes into effect on the day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. Registration Offices—(1) The Acting Manager Fisheries Services hereby declares the following offices to be registration offices at which fishing vessels may be registered, until such time as the effective date of closure shown, when the office concerned will be deemed to be closed for registration purposes:

(2) The Acting Manager Fisheries Services hereby declares the following office as a registration office at which fishing vessels may be registered from Tuesday, 24 October 1995:

Wellington 156–158 Victoria Street, Wellington

3. Registrars of Fisheries—The following designated officers of the Ministry of Fisheries are hereby appointed as Registrars of Fisheries, until such time as the expiry date shown, when that appointment of the designated officer concerned will be deemed to have been cancelled:

4. Revocation—The Notice Declaring Officers at Which Fishing Vessels May be Registered and Appointing Registrars of Fisheries (No. F4) appearing in the New Zealand Gazette on 3 August 1995, No. 75 at page 2052, is hereby revoked.

Diplomatic Privileges and Immunities Act 1968

Privileges and Immunities of Representatives and Their Staff Attending the Meeting of Commonwealth Heads of Government November 1995

WHEREAS the Commonwealth Heads of Government are to meet in New Zealand from 8 to 13 November 1995

AND WHEREAS the meeting will be attended by representatives of the Governments of those States listed in the Appendix hereto and of the Government of New Zealand

AND WHEREAS it appears that doubts may arise as to the privileges and immunities which may be enjoyed by representatives, including delegates, and members of their official staff attending the meeting

NOW THEREFORE pursuant to section 11 of the Diplomatic Privileges and Immunities Act 1968 (“the Act”), the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade hereby directs that every representative of the said Governments (other than the Government of New Zealand), and the members of their official staff attending the said meeting shall be accorded the following privileges and immunities:

(a) Every representative, including every designated delegate, of the Governments of those States listed in the Appendix hereto (other than the Government of New Zealand) shall be accorded the privileges and immunities conferred by or by virtue of Part I of the Act on a diplomatic agent as specified in Articles 29 to 37 (1) inclusive of The Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, set out in the First Schedule of the Act; and
