Class of Vehicle Specified Glazing Conditions
MD3, MD4 and ME Glazing in side windows behind the rear of the driver’s seat which allows light transmittance at a rate of less than 35 percent. The vehicle must be fitted with external mirrors on both sides.
NB and NC Glazing where the vehicle is fitted with a permanent body structure which completely obstructs the driver’s view through the rear window; Glazing behind the rear of the driver’s seat which allows light transmittance at a rate of less than 35 percent. The vehicle must be fitted with external mirrors on both sides.
MA, MB, MC, and MD1 Glazing in rear windows to which advertising transfers or other treatments have been applied under a contractual arrangement entered into before 16 February 1995. The exemption for such vehicles only applies for the term of any contract signed before 16 February 1995. The vehicle must be fitted with external mirrors on both sides.
