Conservation Act 1987
District Anglers Notice for Fish and Game Regions, Amendment No. 1
Pursuant to section 26R (3) of the Conservation Act 1987, the following Fish and Game Councils amend the First and Second Schedules of the District Anglers Notice for Fish and Game Regions, supplement to the New Zealand Gazette, 1995, No. 87, pages 2534 to 2539.
Fish and Game Region
Auckland/Waikato, Wellington, Nelson/Marlborough, West Coast
- Title and commencement—(1) This amending notice may be cited as the District Anglers Notice for Fish and Game Regions, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the District Anglers Notice for Fish and Game Regions (hereinafter referred to as the “principal notice”).
(2) This amending notice shall come into force on 1 October 1995.

Authorised Tackle—(1) Clause 2.5.8 of the First Schedule of the principal notice is amended by adding “Nelson/Marlborough Fish and Game region” and “West Coast Fish and Game region”.

Second Schedule: Nelson/Marlborough Fish and Game Region.
3.1 Open Season—(1) Clause 1 is amended by substituting the words “Lake Rotoiti” with ‘Lake Rototti (excluding that part of the lake within 100 metres from the centre of the meeting line between the lake and any in, or out, flowing river or stream).’
(2) Clause 1 is amended by substituting the words “Lake Rotoroa” with ‘Lake Rotoroa (excluding that part of the lake within 100 metres from the centre of the meeting line between the lake and any in, or out, flowing river or stream).’
3.2 Artificial Fly or Artificial Minnow only waters—(1) Clause 4 is amended by substituting the words “Artificial Fly or Artificial Minnow” in the clause heading and first paragraph with ‘Artificial Lure or Artificial Bait’ in both instances.
(2) Clause 4 is further amended by substituting the words “Leathem River” and ‘Leatham River’.
- Second Schedule: West Coast Fish and Game Region.
4.1 Open Season—(1) Clause 1 is amended by substituting the description “Lake Mapourika, (except that between April 1 in any year and September 30 in the following year fishing is not permitted within 100 metres of buoys marking tributaries.)” with ‘Lake Mapourika, (except that between April 1 in any year and September 30 in the same year fishing is not permitted within 100 metres of buoys marking tributaries.)’.

Revocation of Part Tararua Conservation Park
Pursuant to section 18 (7) of the Conservation Act 1987, and to a sub-delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator of the Wellington Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby revokes the conservation park status of the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Declaration That Conservation Land Become a Reserve
Pursuant to section 8 (1A) of the Conservation Act 1987, and to a sub-delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator of the Department of Conservation, Wellington, hereby declares that the conservation area described in the Schedule hereto shall hereinafter be set apart as a reserve subject to the Reserves Act 1977 and classified as a Government purpose reserve (wildlife management), subject to the provisions of the latter Act, to be known as the Mount Bruce National Wildlife Centre Reserve.
