Pesticides Act 1979

Exempting Pesticides From Registration (Notice No. AG, 27 Ag/PB 7/1/1)

Pursuant to section 8 of the Pesticides Act 1979, on the recommendation of the Pesticides Board, I hereby exempt the following pesticides from the registration provisions of Part III of the said Act:

(1) Insecticides used on wool products that are approved by the New Zealand Wool Board.

(2) Slimicides used in water cooling towers where discharge of the treated water is subject to discharge permits granted pursuant to the Resource Management Act 1991.

(3) Fungicides and insecticides incorporated into paints, but not including:

(a) paints used on plants for:

    (i) the treatment of wounds,

    (ii) the treatment of pruning cuts; or

(b) paints used for the control of fouling organisms on boat hulls and other underwater structures.

(4) Sodium chloride and sodium bicarbonate based pesticides, either alone or in mixture with each other, where the chemicals are the sole active ingredients in that pesticide.

Revocation

The notice published in the New Zealand Gazette on 8 June 1995, No. 55 at page 1430 and entitled “Notice Exempting Pesticides from Registration (No. 5105; AG1/PB 7/1/1)” is hereby revoked.

Notice is hereby given that on 18 September 1995, an order was made by the District Court, pursuant to section 84 (2) (b) of the Criminal Justice Act 1985, for the confiscation of the following vehicle owned by Christopher Mark Burgess:

1979 Toyota Corona station wagon. Registration No. NK 1576.

Education Act 1989

Board of Trustees Election

Pursuant to section 101 of the Education Act 1989, notice is given that the first election was held on the 13th day of October 1995, for the board of trustees of the following school:

Al Madinah School, Auckland.

The proprietors of the said school are entering into an integration agreement with the Minister of Education pursuant to the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975. The first meeting of the board of trustees will be held on the 30th day of October 1995.

Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975

Supplementary Integration Agreement

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary integration agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen acting through the Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the proprietor of the following school:

Star of the Sea, Howick.

The said supplementary agreement was executed on the 20th day of September 1995. A copy of the supplementary agreement is available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the district office of the Ministry of Education, 6–10 Nugent Street, Auckland.

Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary integration agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen acting through the Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the proprietor of the following school:

St Mary’s School, Gisborne.

The said supplementary agreement was executed on the 20th day of September 1995. A copy of the supplementary agreement is available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the district office of the Ministry of Education, 65 Waterloo Road, Lower Hutt.
