The Traffic (Central Otago District) Notice

No. 2, 1994

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, and a delegation from the Minister of Transport, I, Judith Olga Stack, Secretary for Transport give the following notice:

N o t i c e

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Central Otago District) Notice No. 2, 1994.

The road specified in the Schedule is declared to be a 70 kilometre an hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

The Traffic (Maniototo County) Notice No. 1, 1976, dated the 22nd day of June 1976*, issued pursuant to regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956, is revoked.

SITUATED within Central Otago District at Oturehua:

Ida Valley - Omakau Road: from a point 50 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along the said road from Hills Creek Road to a point 1100 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along the said road from Hills Creek Road.

Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986

Approval of Course in Map Reading

Pursuant to section 48 (2) (f) of the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986, and pursuant to a delegation given by the Director of Land Transport Safety in an instrument of delegation dated the 10th day of August 1994, I, Roy Harold Hitchcock, Compliance Officer, Safer People and Operators, hereby approve the following organisation to conduct course in map reading for the purposes of regulation 11 (1) (c) of the Transport (Driver Licensing) Regulations 1987:

Saunders Enterprises Limited, Auckland.

This notice replaces New Zealand Gazette notice No. 5, page 141, dated 18 January 1990, pertaining to the Bay Western Driver Training Centre, the previous name of the above organisation.

Notice of Indemnities Given Pursuant to Section 59 (1) of the Public Finance Act 1989β€”Trans Power Separation

Pursuant to section 59 (2) of the Public Finance Act 1989, the Minister of Finance makes the following statement:

In or about June 1994, the Minister of Finance, as part of the separation of Trans Power New Zealand Limited (Trans Power) from the Electricity Corporation of New Zealand Limited (ECNZ), which occurred on 1 July 1994, gave indemnities to ECNZ in respect of losses it may incur as a result of the Crown failing to comply with particular aspects of the Trans Power Sale and Purchase Agreement or as a result of changes to ECNZ's tax liability assumptions made for the purposes of the Assumption of Debt Agreement.

In or about June 1994 the Minister of Finance, as part of the separation of Trans Power from ECNZ, which occurred on 1 July 1994, gave indemnities to ECNZ's directors and staff for any liability they may incur in their personal capacities in relation to the sale or sale process.
