International Air Services Licensing Act 1947
Notice of Application to Amend an International Air Service Licence
Pursuant to section 7 of the International Air Services Licensing Act 1947, notice is hereby given that an application has been made for an amendment to the International Air Service Licence issued to Cathay Pacific Airways Limited to enable the airline to operate from Hong Kong to Wellington and/or Christchurch, in addition to Auckland. Further details of this proposal are available from the Secretary for Transport, Ministry of Transport, P.O. Box 3175, Wellington.
Any person or organisation desiring to make representations relating to this application must forward those representations to reach me on or before 22 September 1994.

Notice is hereby given that I intend to exercise the power conferred by section 14 of the International Air Services Licensing Act 1947, to amend the terms of the International Air Service Licence issued to Cathay Pacific Airways

Approval of Hazardous Substances Course
Pursuant to section 48 (2) (e) of the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986, and under powers delegated to me by the Director of Land Transport Safety in an instrument of delegation dated the 10th day of August 1994, I, Roy Harold Hitchcock, Compliance Officer Safer People and Operators, hereby approve the following course and organisation for the purposes of paragraph (1) (a) of the Transport Act 1962:
Counties Technical Training Trust Hazardous Substances Course conducted by William (Bill) Taka, as organisation.

Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977
Whanganui-Manawatu Rural Fire District Notice 1994
Pursuant to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977, the National Rural Fire Authority hereby makes the following notice.
Notice
-
(1) This notice may be cited as the Whanganui-Manawatu Rural Fire District Notice 1994.
(2) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of October 1994.

In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires:
the “Act” means the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977;
the “committee” means the Whanganui-Manawatu Rural Fire Committee; and
the “district” means the Whanganui-Manawatu Rural Fire District.
Constitution of the Whanganui-Manawatu Rural Fire District

The areas specified in the Schedule to this notice are hereby constituted and declared to be a rural fire district to be known as the Whanganui-Manawatu Rural Fire District.

The Whanganui-Manawatu Rural Fire District shall be administered for the purpose of the Act by a rural fire committee known as the Whanganui-Manawatu Rural Fire Committee.

The committee shall consist of six members as follows:
(1) One person appointed, in writing, by Rayonier New Zealand Limited, signed on behalf of that company by one director and the secretary thereof; and
(2) One person appointed, in writing, by Ernslau One Limited, signed on behalf of that company by one director and the secretary thereof; and
(3) One person appointed, in writing, by The Wanganui District Council; and
(4) One person appointed, in writing, by the Director-General of the Department of Conservation; and
(5) One person appointed, in writing, by the Secretary of Justice of the Department of Justice; and
(6) One person appointed, in writing, by The Manawatu-Whanganui Regional Council. -
The period between the 1st day of October in any one year and the 30th day of September in the following year (both days inclusive) is hereby declared to be a restricted fire season in the district.
