Approval for Place of First Arrival (Notice No. 5362)
Pursuant to section 37 of the Biosecurity Act 1993, I hereby give notice that on the 24th day of July 1994, I designated Dunedin Airport as an approved place for the first arrival for aircraft arriving in New Zealand under section 37 of the Biosecurity Act 1993.
The notice designating Dunedin Airport to be an approved place is available for inspection between the hours of 8.00 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. at the MAF office at Awatea Street, Dunedin.

The notice designating Hamilton Airport to be an approved place is available for inspection between the hours of 8.00 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. at the MAF office at Ruakura Agricultural Centre, East Street, Hamilton.

Fisheries (Notification of Proposal to Establish The Nga Taonga O Ngati Kere As A Taiapure—Local Fishery) Notice 1994 (No. 5364)
Pursuant to section 54p (2) of the Fisheries Act 1983, the Director-General of Agriculture and Fisheries, acting under an authorisation from the Minister of Fisheries, hereby gives notice the following:
N o t i c e
- Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Notification of Proposal To Establish The Nga Taonga O Ngati Kere As A Taiapure—Local Fishery) Notice 1994.
(2) This notice shall come into effect on the day of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
- Proposal—(1) A proposal by the Porangahau Taiapure Steering Committee to establish the Nga Taonga O Ngati Kere as a taiapure—local fishery, has been agreed to in principle by the Minister of Fisheries, after consultation with the Minister of Maori Affairs and after having regard to the provisions of section 54b (3) of the Fisheries Act 1983.
(2) The area that is subject to the proposal is as follows: The area (those estuarine or littoral coastal waters) contained within a line commencing at the eastern-most point of Cape Turnagain (at 40° 29.19’S and 176° 48.29’E), then proceeding in a north-easterly direction to the mouth of the stream (at 40° 11.50’S and 176° 48.29’E), then proceeding in a south-westerly direction to a position (at 40° 16.34’S and 176° 33.35’E), then proceeding in a southerly direction to the point of commencement.
- Public inspection of proposal—(1) A copy of the proposal is available for public inspection, for a period of two months as from the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette, at the following addresses:
(a) Maori Land Court, corner of Linden and Warren Street, P.O. Box 134, Hastings;
(b) MAF Fisheries Head Office, ASB Bank House, 101–103 The Terrace, Wellington; MAF Fisheries, Waghorn Street, Ahuriri, Napier;
(c) Central Hawke’s Bay District Council, Ruataniwha Street, P.O. Box 127, Waipawa;
(d) Hawke’s Bay Regional Council, 102 Vautier Street, Private Bag 6006, Napier;
(e) Tararua District Council, 26 Gordon Street, P.O. Box 115, Dannevirke;
(f) Department of Conservation, 59 Marine Parade, P.O. Box 644, Napier;
(g) Porangahau Country Club, Porangahau Beach, P.O. Box 76, Porangahau;
(h) Hastings District Council, Lyndon Road East, Private Bag 9002, Hastings.
- Objections to, and submissions on, proposal—(1) Any person who is or may be affected by any aspect of the proposed taiapure—local fishery may by 4 October 1994, being two months from the date of publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette, lodge an objection to, and/or submission on the proposal at the office of the Maori Land Court given above.
(2) All objections and submissions on the proposal shall:
(a) Identify the grounds on which the objections or submissions are made; and
(b) Be supplemented by such particulars or information as the Registrar of the Maori Land Court notifies the appellant, that the Registrar of the Maori Land Court considers necessary to sufficiently identify the grounds for the objections or submissions.
