Revocation of Approval of Code of Ethical Conduct, Notice No. 5355 (100-A1-07)

Pursuant to section 19A of the Animals Protection Act 1960 and on the advice of the National Animal Ethics Advisory Committee, I hereby revoke the approval of the code of ethical conduct of Ambreed NZ Limited.

Notice number 4416 appearing in the New Zealand Gazette on the 9th day of June 1988 at page 98/2316 is hereby revoked.

Animal Remedies Act 1967

Approved Woolmarking Preparations Notice No. 5360 (Ag. 1300–38)

Pursuant to section 63B (4) of the Animal Remedies Act 1967 and after consultation with the New Zealand Wool Board, I hereby give notice that the woolmarking preparation set out in the Schedule hereto (being a product of Arandee Industries Limited) is approved as suitable for use for all purposes in making marks on the wool of sheep.

This approval takes effect on the day following the date of publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Tamarongo

Pursuant to sections 146 and 155 of the Education Act 1989, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice:

N o t i c e

  1. This notice may be cited as Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Tamarongo.

  2. This notice shall come into force on 30 January 1995.

  3. I hereby establish at Opunake, a primary school called Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Tamarongo, and I hereby designate the school as a kura kaupapa Maori.

  4. Aims, purposes and objectives of Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Tamarongo.

Together with the use of te reo Maori as the principal language of instruction, the following aims, purposes, and objectives constitute the character of Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Tamarongo:

(i) To be committed to the provision of high quality education.

(ii) To create a warm, caring, supportive learning environment.

(iii) To appreciate and nurture parental involvement in the education of their children.

(iv) To encourage all children to strive for excellence in all areas of their education.

(v) To adhere to the language, customs, and traditions of Taranaki iwi.

(vi) To take full advantage of all that the modern world of education has to offer while retaining the values of the Maori world.

  1. Constitution of the Board of Trustees. The board of trustees of Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Tamarongo shall comprise:

(a) Five people appointed by the Minister;

(b) The principal, or principal designate;

(c) Not more than four persons co-opted by the board.
