Transport Act 1962

The Traffic (Whangarei District) Notice No. 1, 1994

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, and a delegation from the Minister of Transport, I, Grant Stewart Milne, Acting Secretary for Transport give the following notice:

Notice

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Whangarei District) Notice No. 1, 1994.

The roads specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The road specified in the Second Schedule is declared to be a 70 kilometre an hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

The Traffic (Whangarei County) Notice No. 1, 1973, dated the 28th day of November 1973*, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 is revoked.

So much of the Traffic (Whangarei County) Notice No. 2, 1975, dated on the 6th day of October 1975†, which relates to roads in the Schedules below, issued pursuant to Section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956, is revoked.

First Schedule

SITUATED within Whangarei District at McLeods Bay:

Beach Road.
Cornfoot Avenue.
Darch Point Road.
Matuku Street.
Norfolk Avenue.

Reotahi Road: from Darch Point Road to its southern termination.

Stuart Road.
The Heights.

Whangarei Heads Road: from a point 2400 metres measured northerly, generally, along Whangarei Heads Road from Reotahi Road to a point 350 metres measured southerly, generally, along Whangarei Heads Road from Reotahi Road.

SITUATED within Whangarei District at Oakura:

Oakura Road: from a point 100 metres measured southerly, generally, along Oakura Road from Rapata Road to its northern termination.
Ohewini Road.
Omutu Street.

Rapata Road: from its eastern termination to a point 640 metres measured easterly, generally, along Rapata Road from Oakura Road.
Te Kapua Street.
Wharua Road.

SITUATED within Whangarei District at Taurikura Bay:

Ody Road: from Whangarei Heads Road to a point 300 metres measured northerly, generally, along Ody Road from Whangarei Heads Road.
Taurikura Road.

Whangarei Heads Road: from a point 320 metres measured westerly, generally, along Whangarei Heads Road from Taurikura Road to a point 960 metres measured south-easterly, generally, along Whangarei Heads Road from Ody Road.

Second Schedule

SITUATED within Whangarei District at McLeods Bay:

Reotahi Road: from Whangarei Heads Road to Darch Point Road.

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, and a delegation from the Minister of Transport, I, Grant Stewart Milne, Acting Secretary for Transport give the following notice:

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Whangarei District) Notice No. 2, 1994.

The roads specified in the Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The Traffic (Whangarei County) Notice No. 1, 1970, dated on the 6th day of May 1970*, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, is revoked.

SITUATED within Whangarei District at Patuaua North:

Aubrey Road.
Hall Road.
Kaye Road.

Patuaua North Road: from the southern termination of Pataua North Road to a point 50 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along Pataua North Road from Aubrey Road.

Te Whangai Head Road.

SITUATED within Whangarei District at Patuaua South:

Mahanga Road.
Patuaua Street.

Patuaua South Road: from the northern termination of Pataua South Road to a point 50 metres measured southerly, generally, along Pataua South Road from Mahanga Road.
