Finance

(a) Amends the Fishing Industry Board Act 1963 to provide for a special levy to fund the industry’s contribution to the toxic shellfish monitoring programme;

(b) Amends the Privacy Act 1993 to permit the incorporation, in a code of practice issued under that Act, of an information privacy principle in an unmodified form;

(c) Provides for the exemption of certain agreements relating to pharmaceuticals from Part II of the Commerce Act 1986;

(d) Validates a payment from the Crown Bank Account to the Accident Rehabilitation and Compensation Insurance Corporation and provides for a payment from the Corporation to the Crown;

• (e) Omits GCS Limited from the Stated Owned Enterprises Act 1986 and makes consequential amendments, on a date to be appointed by the Governor-General by Order in Council; and

(f) Rectifies a technical error in the Health Reforms (Transitional Provisions) Act 1993.
