Maritime Transport Act 1993
Declaration Under the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1966
Whereas, pursuant to section 15 of the Maritime Transport Act 1993, the Minister of Transport did delegate his power under section 7 (4) of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1966 to the Maritime Safety Authority by an Instrument of Delegation dated 19 August 1993.
And whereas, pursuant to section 16 of the Maritime Transport Act 1993, the Maritime Safety Authority did delegate those powers under section 7 (4) of the Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Act 1966 to me by an Instrument of Delegation dated 1 December 1993.
Therefore I, Russell Kilvington, hereby make the following declaration:
D e c l a r a t i o n
The Submarine Cables and Pipelines Protection Order 1992 shall not apply in respect of ships or vessels and support boats, workboats and small craft associated with them that are under the direct control of or working under instructions given in writing by Trans Power New Zealand Limited whilst working in the protected area designated βArea 7 - Cook Straitβ for the purpose of carrying out work on laying, investigating, repairing or inspecting the Cook Strait Submarine Cables, including the removal or placement of any material, equipment or other matter from or in the area of the cables, for the period necessary to complete any work. This notice comes into effect from 1 May 1994.
The Declaration of 15 October 1992* is hereby revoked.

Transport Act 1962
The Traffic (Manukau City) Notice No. 1, 1994
Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, and a delegation from the Minister of Transport, I, Grant Stewart Milne, Acting Secretary for Transport, give the following notice:
N o t i c e
This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Manukau City) Notice No. 1, 1994.
The roads specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.
The roads specified in the Second Schedule is declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas, pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.
So much of the Traffic (Manukau City) Notice No. 1, 1990, signed on the 6th day of December 1990*, which relates to sections of the roads in the Schedules below issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, is revoked.
First Schedule
SITUATED within Manukau City
At Manurewa Ward:
Davies Avenue.
At Papatoetoe Ward:
Nesdale Avenue.
Oak Road.
Orb Avenue.
Waire Road.
Wattle Farm Road.
Sykes Road: from Mahia Road to Celmisia Place.
At Mangere and Otara Wards:
Parkwood Place.
Redoubt Road: from Great South Road to the southbound Wiri off-ramp from the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff).
At Howick and Pakuranga Wards:
East Tamaki Road: from Whitford Road to a point 200 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along East Tamaki Road from Whitford Road.
Nicholas Road.
Sommerville Road: from Whitford Road to a point 500 metres measured northerly, generally, along Sommerville Road from Whitford Road.
Second Schedule
SITUATED within Manukau City:
At Howick and Pakuranga Wards:
East Tamaki Road: from Whitford Road to Botany Road.
Cascades Road: from Botany Road to Aviemore Drive.
At Mangere and Otara Wards:
Crooks Road.
Cryers Road.
Neales Road.
Parkwood Place.
Roscommon Road: from Puhinui Road to the No. 20 State Highway (Onehunga-Redoubt Road via Papatoetoe).
Redoubt Road: from a point 320 metres measured easterly, generally, along Redoubt Road from Goodwood Drive to a point 600 metres measured easterly, generally, along Redoubt Road from Hilltop Road; and from Murphys Road along Redoubt Road to its eastern end.
At Clevedon Ward:
Ti Rakau Drive: from Botany Road to East Tamaki Road.
Whitford Maraitai Road: from Whitford Park Road to a point 890 metres measured easterly, generally, along Whitford Maraitai Road from Whitford Park Road.
