Transport

Traffic Regulations 1976

Approval of Flashing/Revolving Purple And Amber Lights For Certain Vehicles

Pursuant to subclause (1) of regulation 88 of the Traffic Regulations 1976, approval is hereby granted, for the purposes of subclause (8) of regulation 67 of the said regulations, for the fitting and use of 1 or 2 flashing or revolving purple lights in combination with 1 or 2 flashing or revolving amber lights on vehicles as described in the Schedule, provided those vehicles comply with the conditions below.

Schedule

Vehicles used by certified overdimensional load pilots for the escorting of overdimensional loads and approved for this purpose by the Land Transport Safety Authority.

Conditions

  1. These lights shall only be used when escorting wide loads, issued with an overdimension permit in accordance with regulation 49 of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

  2. These lights shall only be used in accordance with any standards or guidelines set by the Land Transport Safety Authority for the escorting of wide loads.

  3. These lights shall be removed from the vehicle when the vehicle is withdrawn from this service.

Order for Restoration of Practitioners Name to the Roll of Barristers and Solicitors

In the matter of the Law Practitioners Act 1982

Pursuant to section 119 of the Law Practitioners Act 1982, notice is hereby given that on the 1st day of November 1993, the New Zealand Law Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal ordered as follows:

  1. That the name of the applicant PATRICK JOHN CAVANAGH be restored to the Roll of Barristers and Solicitors of the High Court of New Zealand;

  2. That the order for restoration of the name of the applicant to the roll be subject to the condition that the applicant shall not practise as a solicitor on his own account, whether in partnership or otherwise, until authorised by the Tribunal to do so;

  3. That the applicant pay to the New Zealand Law Society the sum of $1,401.00 in respect of the costs and expenses of and incidental to the consideration of the application by this Tribunal.
