Conservation Act 1987
District Anglers (Nelson/Marlborough Fish and Game Region) Notice 1994, Amendment No. 1
Pursuant to section 26R (3) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Nelson/Marlborough Fish and Game Council amends the District Anglers (Nelson/Marlborough Fish and Game Region) Notice 1994, supplement to the New Zealand Gazette, 1994, No. 89, pages 2695–2696.
Notice
- Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the District Anglers (Nelson/Marlborough Fish and Game Region) Notice 1994, Amendment No. 1 and shall be read together with and deemed part of the District Anglers (Nelson/Marlborough Fish and Game Region) Notice 1994 (hereinafter referred to as the “principal notice”).
(2) This amending notice shall come into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

- Open season—(1) Clause 3 of the principal notice is amended by adding to subclause (2) thereof the following after item (t):
“(u) Lake Rotoiti
(v) Lake Rotoroa.”

Eastern Fish and Game Region District Anglers Notice 1990, Amendment No. 3
Pursuant to section 26R (3) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Eastern Fish and Game Council amends the Eastern Fish and Game Region District Anglers Notice 1990, supplement to the New Zealand Gazette, 1990, No. 151, pages 3205 to 3208.
- Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Eastern Fish and Game Region District Anglers Notice 1990, Amendment No. 3 and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Eastern Fish and Game Region District Anglers Notice 1990 (hereinafter referred to as the “principal notice”).
(2) This amending notice shall come into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

- Open season—(1) Clause 4 of the principal notice is amended by renumbering subclause 4 (g) as subclause 4 (h) and inserting as subclause 4 (g) the following subclause:
“(g) The Tarawera River from the footbridge sited approximately 800 metres from the golf course at Kawerau, downstream to the sea;
from the 1st day of July 1995 to the 30th day of September 1995 (both days inclusive) and subsequently from the 1st day of October to the 30th day of September (both days inclusive) in each year”.
- Bag and size limits—(1) Clause 5 of the principal notice is amended by adding the following subclauses:
“(1b) No licence holder shall on any one day take and keep more than one (1) trout, irrespective of species, from the Horomanga River from its source downstream to its confluence with the Rangitaiki River.
(1c) No licence holder shall on any one day take and keep more than two (2) trout, irrespective of species, from the Rangitaiki River downstream from its confluence with the Horomanga River to the barrage of Lake Aniwhenua, including the canal and header pond”.

Appointments, Promotions, Extensions, Transfers, Resignations and Retirements of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Navy
Pursuant to section 32 of the Defence Act 1990, Her Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Naval Forces.
ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVY
The appointment of Commander S.M. Duff, V.R.D., DIP.B.S., on the Special Service List of the RNZNVR is terminated with effect from 17 July 1994, and he is appointed to the RNZN in his present rank, with seniority from 27 June 1987 and effect from 18 July 1994.
The appointment of Commander S.J. Taylor, M.B.E., is extended until 2 March 1998.
Lieutenant Commander P.A. Stanley, B.Sc., to be Commander with seniority and effect from 17 October 1994.
The appointment of Lieutenant Commander D.J. Turner, B.Sc., is extended until 13 January 1995.
The appointment of Lieutenant Commander R.J. Howland on the Special Service List of the Emergency List of Officers of the Naval Reserves is terminated with effect from 14 August 1994, and he is re-appointed to the RNZN in his present rank, with seniority from 28 June 1983 and effect from 15 August 1994.
Lieutenant Commander Geoffrey Clough is placed on the Retired List of the RNZN with effect from 27 June 1994.
Lieutenant Commander Richard Arthur Hedley, B.Sc., is placed on the Emergency List of Officers of the Naval Reserves with effect from 29 October 1994.
The appointment of Lieutenant Commander E.D.J. Isaac on the Special Service List of the Emergency List of Officers of the Naval Reserves is terminated with effect from 11 September 1994, and he is re-appointed to the RNZN in his present rank, with seniority from 18 September 1987 and effect from 12 September 1994.
