● Authorises the maintenance, by or on behalf of the Police, of a database of DNA profiles for the use in the investigation of offences, and provides for the Police to obtain blood samples from which DNA profiles may be derived for storage on such a database.

Parliament Centre
Establishes a Parliament Centre Commission with powers to ensure that land within the Parliamentary Centre is maintained and developed in an appropriate way. It is intended to identify and protect the visual, constitutional and cultural significance of the Parliamentary complex and surrounding areas.
Parliament Centre is defined in the first schedule to the bill and includes land and buildings around the Parliamentary complex in Wellington.

Health Amendment (No. 2)
Amends the Health Act 1956 by repealing section 221 (which relates to the retention of health information).
Postpones the expiry of section 221 until 31 December 1996 or such earlier date as may be appointed by Order in Council.
The purpose of the amendment is to extend the time available for consultation on proposed regulations to replace the restrictions contained in section 221 of the Act.

Fisheries (Quota Aggregation Limit Exemption) Notice (No. 4) 1994 (No. 5388)
Pursuant to section 28w (3) of the Fisheries Act 1983, the Minister of Fisheries, after consultation with the New Zealand Fishing Industry Board and the Treaty of Waitangi Fisheries Commission hereby gives the following notice:

- Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Quota Aggregation Limit Exemption) Notice (No. 4) 1994.
(2) This notice shall come into effect on the day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
- Interpretation—
(a) Any reference to Quota Management Area means the appropriate Quota Management Area as defined in the Fisheries (Quota Management Areas, Total Allowable Catches and Catch Histories) Notice 1986*;
(b) Species are specified by way of fishstock codes, being Fishstock Codes defined in the Second Schedule of the Fisheries (Reporting) Regulations 1990†; and
(c) The Chatham Islands Enterprise Trust includes any companies owned or controlled by the Trust at the date of this notice.
- Exemption to quota aggregation limit—(1) As from the date that this notice comes into effect, the Chatham Islands Enterprise Trust is permitted to hold and interest in quota in excess of the 20 percent aggregation limit for quota management area 4, as provided in section 28w (1) (d) of the Fisheries Act 1983, for the following species, up to the percentage limits as specified in the table below:

Standard Grade for the Export of Buttercup Squash Amendment Notice 1994 (Ag. 12/2/14; No. 5387)
This notice amends the Standard Grade for the Export of Buttercup Squash Notice (Ag. 12/2/14; No. 5195) published in the New Zealand Gazette, Wednesday 23 December 1992, Issue No. 208 at page 4656 (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice) and amendment notice 1993 (Ag. 12/2/14; No. 5310).
“Pursuant to regulations 13 and 16 of the New Zealand Grown Fruit and Vegetables Regulations 1975* the Director-General of Agriculture and Fisheries hereby gives notice of modification to the grade standards and packaging requirements respectively in respect to buttercup squash intended for export from New Zealand such requirements being as specified in this notice”.
