Traffic Signs—Permanent Warning Signs

Notice

Pursuant to regulation 129 (6) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and a delegation from the Director of Land Transport Safety dated the 30th day of June 1994, I, John Paul Edgar, Manager Policy and Programmes, Safer Vehicles Roads and Rail, approve the erection and maintenance of Permanent Warning Signs, as described in the Schedule, for the control of traffic in accordance with regulation 124 of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

Schedule

Description of Traffic Signs

In this Schedule:

  1. All measurements are shown in millimetres.
  2. The letter “(r)” after a colour indicates that the colour should be made of retro-reflective material.
  3. The size of lettering and numerals is shown by two figures separated by a diagonal slash. The first figure shows the letter height in millimetres and the second the stroke width in millimetres.

Transport Act 1962

The Traffic (Hauraki District) Notice No. 1, 1994

Notice

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, and a delegation from the Minister of Transport, I, Judith Olga Stack, Secretary for Transport give the following notice:

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Hauraki District) Notice No. 1, 1994.

The Minister of Transport’s duly authorised delegate hereby declares those localities and roads within markings identified in the Legend of and appearing on plan numbered TT9402/1, entitled “Speed Restriction: Hauraki District at Waihi” and held by the Head Office of the Land Transport Safety Authority to be closely populated localities, 70 km/h speed limit areas, limited speed zones or to be excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by subsection 52 (1) of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, as may be ascertained from the said plan and Legend are hereby incorporated in this notice.

The Traffic (Waihi Borough) Notice No. 1, 1969, dated on the 22nd day of July 1969*, which relates to Waihi Borough, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956, is revoked.

The Traffic (Opotiki District) Notice No. 1, 1994

Notice

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, and a delegation from the Minister of Transport, I, Judith Olga Stack, Secretary for Transport give the following notice:

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Opotiki District) Notice No. 1, 1994.

The road specified in the Schedule is declared to be a 70 kilometre an hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

SITUATED within Opotiki District at Whanarua Bay:

No. 35 State Highway (Opotiki-Gisborne via Te Araroa): from a point 1120 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along the said State highway from the Whanarua Bridge to a point 490 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along the said State highway from the Whanarua Bridge.
