Nurses Act 1977

Order of the Council in Disciplinary Session—Order in Respect of Bernard Thomas Paintin, Registered Psychopaedic Nurse

In exercise of its powers under section 42 (1) (b), 42 (2) (ba), 42 (3) and 48A of the Nurses Act 1977, the Nursing Council of New Zealand after due inquiry on 9 August 1994, ordered that registered psychopaedic nurse Bernard Thomas Paintin may, for a period of 3 years from such date in the future as he recommences nursing practice, practise only subject to conditions specified by the Nursing Council; that he pay $1,000 toward the costs and expenses of and incidental to the inquiry by the council; that a notice stating the effect of these orders be published in the New Zealand Gazette, and Nursing New Zealand (formerly the New Zealand Nursing Journal).

Order of the Council in Disciplinary Session—Order in Respect of Jacquelyn Ann Brown, Registered General and Obstetric Nurse

In exercise of its powers under section 42 (1) (a), 42 (2) (ba), 42 (3) and 48A of the Nurses Act 1977, the Nursing Council of New Zealand after due inquiry on 12 July 1994, ordered that registered general and obstetric nurse Jacquelyn Ann Brown may, for a period of 3 years from such date in the future as she recommences nursing practice, practise only subject to conditions specified by the Nursing Council; that she pay $2,000 or 50 percent actual costs and expenses incurred (whichever is lesser) toward the costs and expenses of and incidental to the inquiry by the council; that a notice stating the effect of these orders be published in the New Zealand Gazette, and Nursing New Zealand (formerly the New Zealand Nursing Journal).
