HER EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 182 (2) of the Rating Powers Act 1988, Her Excellency the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting on the recommendation of the Maori Land Court and with the consent of The Rotorua District Council, hereby exempts the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto from the liability for payment of rates.

Notice Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation
Pursuant to section 439 (1) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, on the recommendation of the Maori Land Court, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation (Motuiti Marae) for the purposes of a village site, marae, Waahi-Tapu and Papakainga housing for the common use and benefit of the hapu of Ngati Rakau Paewai, Ngati Te Ao and Ngati Turanga.

All that piece of land situated in Block I, Mount Robinson Survey District and described as follows:

2.0234 Part Himatangi 5B (as defined on a plan dated 15 December 1993 and held by the Aotea District Maori Land Court) and being part of the land contained in certificate of title 20D/469 (Wellington Registry).

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation
In the notice No. 1854 dated 21 February 1994, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of 10 March 1994, No. 23, page 1066, in the Schedule amend “South Auckland Land District” to read “North Auckland Land District”.

Notice Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation
Pursuant to section 338 (1) of Te Ture Whenua Maori/Maori Land Act 1993, on the recommendation of the Maori Land Court, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purposes of an urupa, place of historical interest, meeting place, traditional Maori fishing grounds, marae, dwellings, spring, bathing place and recreational for the common use and benefit of the descendants of Heni Tumahuki, Tuhaka Tumahuki, Huirae Tumahuki and Porou Tumahuki and members of Ngati Tamarongo Hapu of the Taranaki Tribe and the community of the Opunake Township and District.
