Appointment to the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council

Pursuant to section 3 (2) (c) of the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council of New Zealand Act 1974, the Minister has made the following appointment:

Ms Allison Muriel Dobbie
to be a member of the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council for a term of office expiring on the 31st day of December 1993.

Education Act 1989

Change of Class Wanganui Boys’ College

Pursuant to section 146A of the Education Act 1989, I hereby declare that Wanganui Boys’ College will be a co-educational school F3–F7 on the 1st day of January 1994, and cease to be a single-sex secondary school on that day.

The notice entitled “Change of Class of Wanganui Boys’ College” published in the New Zealand Gazette on 10 December 1992, No. 201, page 4443, is hereby revoked.

Local Authority Reorganisation (Property Transfers) Act 1990

The Local Government (Mosgiel Borough Council Property) Reorganisation Order 1993

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At Wellington this 24th day of May 1993

Her Excellency the Governor-General in Council

Pursuant to section 8 of the Local Authority Reorganisation (Property Transfers) Act 1990, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

Order

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Local Government (Mosgiel Borough Council Property) Reorganisation Order 1993.

(2) This order shall come into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

  1. Interpretation—In this order:

“Trust” means the Mosgiel Borough Commemorative Trust created by a trust deed dated the 7th day of August 1990, which replaced an original deed dated the 3rd day of October 1989.

“Liable property” means the sum of $29,130, which the former Mosgiel Borough Council endowed in the trustees of the Trust, and any interest earned on this sum from the date of creation of the Trust until the date of transfer in accordance with this order.

  1. Vesting of property—(1) The liable property, less the amount of $4,000 which the Trust granted to the Mosgiel Abilities Resource Centre, is hereby vested in the Dunedin City Council, freed of all trusts and encumbrances.

(2) The trustees of the Trust shall forthwith take such steps as are necessary to transfer the liable property, less the amount of $4,000 referred to in subclause (1) of this clause, to The Dunedin City Council.

(3) The Mosgiel Abilities Resource Centre shall not be
