Land at Lake Pukaki Acquired for Road and Road to be Stopped/Vested

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Manager (Lands and Property), Department of Survey and Land Information, Christchurch, hereby:

(a) Pursuant to sections 20 and 50, declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby acquired for road and shall vest in The Mackenzie District Council on the date of publication of this declaration in the Gazette.

(b) Pursuant to sections 116 and 117 (7), declares the road described in the Second Schedule hereto to be stopped and vested in the Crown for the generation of electricity.

First Schedule

Canterbury Land District—Mackenzie District

10.6831 hectares, being road adjoining part Rural Sections 33297 and 33300; marked “B” on S.O. Plan 14156.

Second Schedule

Canterbury Land District—Mackenzie District

4.6290 hectares, being road adjoining Rural Sections 38623, 38624, parts 33297, 38625, 38626 and parts 33300 and closed road; shown marked “F” on S.O. Plan 13356.

As shown marked on the above mentioned S.O. Plans, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Christchurch.
