(i) $63.32 if that person’s disabilities are predominantly physical; and

(ii) $24.32 if that person’s disabilities are predominantly psychiatric.

“Residential care” in respect of a person means care received as a resident in a home either registered under section 18 of the Disabled Persons Community Welfare Act 1955 or approved by the Director-General as meeting the standards required for registration as a home under that Act.

“Specified amount” means—

(a) $313.71 in the case of a person who requires daily supervision but not the constant presence of a caregiver; and

(b) $394.76 in the case of a person who requires 24 hour a day supervision and care; and

(c) $459.61 in the case of a person who requires 24 hour a day supervision and care plus active support and therapy such as day programmes and rehabilitation programmes.

“Standard income” means the appropriate amount set out in the Schedule to this Direction.

In the case of a married couple (including a married couple where one of the spouses is unlawfully resident in New Zealand) the chargeable income, fixed costs and cash assets of the applicant shall include those of his or her spouse.

This Direction shall apply in respect of applications for that benefit received on or after the 1st day of April 1993, and in respect of any renewals of that benefit on or after that date.

  • married couple: $173.66

With children

  • single person (1 child): $157.33

  • married couple (2 children): $231.66

WIDOWS & DOMESTIC PURPOSES

  • woman alone, single: $83.65
  • sole parent (1 child): $157.33
  • sole parent (2 children): $194.62

DOMESTICITY CAREGIVER/S

  • single person aged 16–17 years: $75.64
  • single person aged 18 years and over: $107.32
  • sole parent (1 child): $181.17
  • sole parent (2 children): $217.27

INVALID’S

Without children

  • single person aged 16–17 years: $75.64
  • single person aged 18 years and over: $107.32
  • married couple: $195.80

With children

  • single person (1 child): $181.17
  • single person (2 children): $217.27
  • married couple (1 child): $230.80
  • married couple (2 children): $252.80

NATIONAL SUPERANNUATION/VETERAN’S PENSION

Without children

  • single person living alone: $107.32
  • single person sharing: $107.32
  • married couple: $195.80

With children

  • single person (1 child): $181.17
  • single person (2 children): $217.27
  • married couple (1 child): $230.80
  • married couple (2 children): $252.80

In the case of an applicant with more than two children, the standard income shall be increased by $22.00 for each additional child.

Where a married couple being paid the half married rate of different benefits has more than one dependent child their standard income shall be increased by $22 for each additional child.

Married Couples Where One Spouse is Unlawfully Resident in New Zealand

The standard income which would otherwise apply to the applicant if he or she were unmarried.

Sale of Greymouth Harbour Land

I, William Robson Storey, Minister of Transport, having obtained the concurrence of the Minister of Finance, pursuant to section 143A (3) of the Harbours Act 1950, hereby approve, pursuant to section 143A (1) (a) and section 143c (1) (b) of the Act, the sale of land referred to in the Schedule below by The Grey District Council and I specify that my approval is effective from the date of this notice.

Schedule

All that parcel of land containing in total 142.1000 hectares, more or less, situate in Blocks X and XI, Arnold Survey District, being Lot 1, D.P. 2363, and being all of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 5B, folio 938 (Westland Registry).
