Notice of Intention to Apply for Ministerial Approval of a Code of Practice Under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992—Safety and Health in Photo Engraving and Lithographic Processes

Pursuant to section 20 of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992, I, Keith Lyle McLea, Acting General Manager, Occupational Safety and Health Service of the Department of Labour, in exercise of those powers delegated to me by the Secretary of Labour, pursuant to section 41 of the State Sector Act 1988, hereby give notice of my intention, to apply to the Minister of Labour for his approval of a statement of preferred work practices or arrangements for health and safety in photo engraving and lithographic processes, which will become an “Approved Code of Practice”, under the Act.

These preferred work practices or arrangements are designed to describe the processes and the health and safety hazards involved, and suitable prevention practices and arrangements for the protection of employees and other’s health and safety.

Notice of Intention to Apply for Ministerial Approval of a Code of Practice Under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992—For the Prevention of Sulphur Fires and Explosions

Pursuant to section 20 of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992, I, Keith Lyle McLea, Acting General Manager, Occupational Safety and Health Service of the Department of Labour, in exercise of those powers delegated to me by the Secretary of Labour, pursuant to section 41 of the State Sector Act 1988, hereby give notice of my intention, to apply to the Minister of Labour for his approval of a statement of preferred work practices or arrangements for the prevention of sulphur fires and explosions, which will become an “Approved Code of Practice”, under the Act.

These preferred work practices or arrangements are designed to explain how sulphur fires or dust explosions occur, the specific hazards involved with sulphur, including liquid sulphur, and suitable prevention practices and arrangements for the protection of employees and other’s health and safety.

Notice of Intention to Apply for Ministerial Approval of a Code of Practice Under the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992—Timber Preservatives and Antisapstain Chemicals

Pursuant to section 20 of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992, I, Keith Lyle McLea, Acting General Manager, Occupational Safety and Health Service of the Department of Labour, in exercise of those powers delegated to me by the Secretary of Labour, pursuant to section 41 of the State Sector Act 1988, hereby give notice of my intention, to apply to the Minister of Labour for his approval of a statement of preferred work practices or arrangements for health and safety in the use of timber preservatives and antisapstain chemicals, which will become an “Approved Code of Practice”, under the Act.

These preferred work practices or arrangements are designed to describe the processes involved, the preservatives and antisapstain used, the health and safety hazards involved, and provide guidance consistent with the Resource Management Act for the protection of the environment, and suitable prevention practices and arrangements for the protection of employees and other’s health and safety.

Pursuant to section 20 of the Health and Safety in Employment Act 1992, I, Keith Lyle McLea, Acting General Manager, Occupational Safety and Health Service of the Department of Labour, in exercise of those powers delegated to me by the Secretary of Labour, pursuant to section 41 of the State Sector Act 1988, hereby give notice of my intention, to apply to the Minister of Labour for his approval of a statement of preferred work practices or arrangements for health and safety in the manufacture of paints, printing inks and resins, which will become an “Approved Code of Practice”, under the Act.

These preferred work practices or arrangements are designed to describe the manufacturing processes, the chemicals used, the health and safety hazards involved, and suitable prevention practices and arrangements for the protection of employees and other’s health and safety.

These preferred work practices or arrangements are designed to describe the equipment used, the health and safety hazards involved, and suitable prevention practices and arrangements for the protection of employees and other’s health and safety.
