Explanatory Note

This note is not part of the notice, but is intended to indicate its general effect.

This notice prescribes that, pursuant to regulation 11 of the Radio Regulations 1987, a general licence is granted in respect of the installation, operation, and use of radio apparatus on frequencies specified in this notice. All previous licences in respect of the frequencies specified are revoked. This notice comes into effect on 1 April 1993.

Appointments, Promotions, Extensions, Transfers, Resignations and Retirements of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Navy

Pursuant to section 32 of the Defence Act 1990, Her Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Naval Forces:

ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVY

Acting Captain J.E.R. Granville relinquishes his acting rank with effect from 31 December 1992; and is appointed Provost Marshal of the RNZN with effect from 23 January 1993, vice Commander J.S.C. Clark.

Acting Captain A.J. Peck, B.A., to be Captain with seniority and effect from 26 January 1993.

The appointment of Commander R.H. Keeling is extended until 20 May 1996.

Commander M.N. Franklin, B.A., to be acting Captain with effect from 1 January 1993.

Surgeon Commander J.R. Monigatti, B.SC., M.B., CH.B., to be temporary Surgeon Captain with effect from 18 January 1993.

Commander Gerrard Owen Harvey, M.B.E., is placed on the Emergency List of Officers of the Naval Reserves with effect from 22 December 1992.

Lieutenant Commander Arthur Vivien Taylor is placed on the Retired List of the RNZN with effect from 27 December 1992.

The appointment of Lieutenant Commander C.M. Pile is extended until 15 January 1995.

Temporary Lieutenant M.P.M. Manders, B.E.(MECH.)(HONS) to be Lieutenant with seniority from 28 August 1990 and effect from 30 November 1992.
