Revocation of Authorisation to Take Statutory Declarations

Traffic Regulations 1976

Approval of Flashing Headlamps

Pursuant to regulation 88 of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and regulation 6 of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, approval is hereby granted, for the purpose of subclause (8) of the regulation 67 of the Traffic Regulations 1976, for the fitting and use of a flashing headlamp system in vehicles as described in the Schedule of this notice, provided those vehicles comply with the conditions below.

Schedule

  1. Vehicles owned and operated by the New Zealand Police Department.

  2. Vehicles that are approved by the New Zealand Ambulance Board.

  3. Vehicles that are operated under a New Zealand Fire Authority.

  4. Vehicles owned and operated by the Life Flight Trust, Wellington and Auckland Regional Rescue Helicopter Trust, that are equipped and dedicated for emergency rescue operations.

Conditions

  1. This system shall not be used during the hours of darkness, as defined in regulation 2 of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

  2. This system shall incorporate an override system, that will immediately de-activate the headlamp flashing system as soon as the standard vehicle headlamp switch is activated.

  3. When this system is in operation the headlamps shall flash at a rate of not less than 60 or more than 120 flashes per minute.

  4. This system is approved for emergency response vehicles only, and must be removed from the vehicle when the vehicle is withdrawn from this service.

The Traffic (Waikato District) Notice No. 1, 1993

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and a subdelegation from the Secretary for Transport dated the 16th day of November 1992, I, John Paul Edgar, Senior Traffic Engineer, give the following notice:

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waikato District) Notice No. 1, 1993.

The area and roads specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely-populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The roads specified in the Second Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometre an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

The Traffic (Waikato District) Notice No. 3, 1991, signed on the 28th day of June 1991*, and the Traffic (Raglan County) Notice No. 1, 1986, signed on the 12th day of September 1986†, and the Traffic (Waipa County) Notice No. 1, 1986, signed on the 3rd day of July, 1986‡, and the Traffic (Waikato County at Matangi) Notice No. 1, 1974, dated on the 11th day of November 1974∥, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 are revoked.

The extract from the New Zealand Gazette published on the 2nd day of October 1958, “Limited Speed Zone Declared” issued pursuant to the Transport Act 1949, and for the purposes of the Traffic Regulations 1956, dated on the 25th day of September 1958§, is revoked.

First Schedule

Situated within Waikato District at Matangi:

Good Street.

Matangi Road: from Tauwhare Road to a point 530 metres measured westerly, generally, along Matangi Road from Tauwhare Road.

Tauwhare Road: from Good Street to a point 250 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along Tauwhare Road from Matangi Road.

Situated within Waikato District at Raglan:

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the southern side of the No. 23 State Highway (Hamilton-Raglan) at its intersection with the north-western side of Manukau Road; thence across the said State highway at right angles from its southern side to its northern side; thence south-easterly, generally, along the northern side of the said State highway to its intersection with the north-eastern side of Lorenzen Bay Road; thence north-easterly, generally, by a right line to a point on the south-western side of Greenslade Road 500 metres measured northerly, generally, along Greenslade Road from the No. 23 State Highway (Hamilton-Raglan); thence across Greenslade Road at right angles from its south-western side to its north-eastern side; thence due north by a right line to the shore of the Raglan Harbour; thence north-westerly, and south-westerly, generally, along the said shore to the north-eastern bank of the Opotoru River; thence south-westerly, generally, by a right line across the mouth of the said river to its south-western bank; thence westerly, generally, along the shore of the Raglan Harbour to a
