Order of the Council in Disciplinary Session
Order in Respect of Maureen Fay Tracy, Registered Midwife
In exercise of its powers under sections 42 (1) (a); 42 (2) (a); 42 (9); 42 (3); 23 (2) and 48A of the Nurses Act 1977, the Nursing Council of New Zealand after due inquiry on 12 October 1993, ordered that the name of Maureen Fay Tracy be removed the Register of Midwives. Council declined to fix a time after which she may apply to have her name restored to the Register. Council also ordered that she return all certificates and badges issued to her by the Nursing Council; that she pay $2,500 or actual costs (whichever is the lesser) toward the costs and expenses of and incidental to the inquiry by the council; that a notice stating the effect of these orders be published in the New Zealand Gazette, Nursing New Zealand and the journal of the New Zealand College of Midwives.

All other notices must be lodged at the Gazette office by noon on Tuesday, the 25th day of January 1994.
