Transit New Zealand Act 1989

Revoking Section of State Highway and Declaring New Section of State Highway—State Highway No. 1, Bombay Hills

Pursuant to section 60 of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, the Transit New Zealand Authority gives notice that the section of State highway described in the First Schedule hereto, is revoked and the section of highway described in the Second Schedule hereto, is declared to be State highway within the meaning and for the purpose of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989.

First Schedule

At Bombay Hills

On the old section of State Highway No. 1 in the Franklin District, from a point approximately 400 metres north of the Great South Road Overbridge at St Stephens at Route Position 369/8.27 in a generally southerly direction for a distance of 2.25 kilometres to its junction with Mill Road.

Second Schedule

At Bombay Hills

On the newly constructed road in the Franklin District, from a point approximately 400 metres north of the Great South Road Overbridge at St Stephens at Route Position 369/8.27 in a generally southerly direction for a distance of 2.77 kilometres to new Route Position 369/11.04 approximately 500m south of the Mill Road underpass to include connections to and from Mill Road.

Land Act 1948

Reservation of Land

Pursuant to section 167 of the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Conservation, with the consent of the Minister of Lands, hereby sets apart the land described in the Schedule hereto, as a scenic reserve, subject to the provisions of the Reserves Act 1977.

137.7350 hectares, more or less, being Section 1, Survey Office Plan 62986, situated in Block VII, Maungataniwha Survey District.

Reserves Act 1977

Classification of Part of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Manager Protection, Auckland Conservancy, Department of Conservation, hereby classifies that part of the reserve, described in the Schedule hereto, as a local purpose (road) reserve, subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Department of Conservation, Otago Conservancy, hereby revokes the reservation as a local purpose (site for employment centre and storage) reserve of the land described in the Schedule hereto.

756 square metres, more or less, being Section 1, Block XXVII, Town of Palmerston. All document 792436. S.O. Plan 14764.
