Reserves Act 1977

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve
Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How
Proceeds of Sale Shall Be Utilised

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Otago Conservancy, Department of Conservation, hereby revokes the reservation as a public utility reserve over the land described in the Schedule hereto, and further declares that the said land may be disposed of by The Dunedin City Council at current market value, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the council's reserves account, such moneys to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other reserves under the control of the council, or in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.

Schedule

Otago Land District—Dunedin City

1619 square metres being Lots 23 and 24, D.P. 5334, Block I, Otokia Survey District.

809 square metres being Lot 11, D.P. 5423, Block I, Otokia Survey District.

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

Notice is hereby given that by virtue of section 439 (12) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 and pursuant to a recommendation of the Maori Land Court, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purposes of recreation and access for the common use and benefit of the people of New Zealand and to be known as Mangawhai Ki Putataua.

Schedule

North Auckland Land District

All that piece of land situated in Block XIII, Whakarara Survey District and described as follows:

Area: A twenty (20) metre wide strip marked yellow on district scheme plan being part Matauri X and being part of the land contained in the amalgamation order of the Maori Land Court dated 7 July 1966.

Notice is hereby given that by virtue of section 439 (3) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 and pursuant to a recommendation of the Maori Land Court, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a wahitapu for the common use and benefit of the descendants of Ngapuhi Taniwharau to be known as Waiaua Ki Mangawhai.

All that piece of land situated in Block XIII, Whakarara Survey District and described as follows:

Area: Marked red on Deposited Plan 7454, being part Matauri X and being part of the land contained in the amalgamation order of the Maori Land Court dated 7 July 1966.

The reservation is to be known as Maungahiona.
