Accident Rehabilitation and Compensation Insurance Act 1992

Reserves Policy of the Accident Rehabilitation and Compensation Insurance Corporation

Pursuant to section 128 of the Accident Rehabilitation and Compensation Insurance Act 1992, as amended by section 40 of the Accident Rehabilitation and Compensation Insurance Amendment (No. 2) Act 1993:

Premia shall be set with the intention of meeting the current cost of claims and administration-related expenses in the year in which the premia apply and maintaining reserves at, or moving reserves towards (in a reasonable time frame), the equivalent of 6 months of the upcoming premium year’s cost of claims and administration-related expenses. The scheme holds reserves for three purposes:

1. To meet unexpected fluctuations in both expenditure and the liable earnings base;

2. To allow for premium rate smoothing, where this is appropriate;

3. To provide the scheme with necessary working capital.

This is a statement of intention to publish rules in the following CAR Part:

Part 175—Aeronautical Information Service Organisations—Certification.

Pursuant to section 34 (1)(a) of the Civil Aviation Act 1990. The submission time for the proposed part is indicated in the NPRM and is not less than 60 days.

Copies of notices of Proposed Rule Making are available for viewing at Civil Aviation Authority, 1 Market Grove, Lower Hutt, and on application to P.O. Box 31-441, Lower Hutt, 6300.

Notice of Approval for Land to be Sold or Otherwise Disposed of Pursuant to Section 5 of the Harbour Boards Dry Land Endowment Revesting Act 1991

Pursuant to section 5 of the Harbour Boards Dry Land Endowment Revesting Act 1991, I, John Stewart Ombler, Regional Conservator, Department of Conservation, Napier, acting under a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, approve the sale, lease or other disposition of the land currently vested in The Napier City Council and described in the Schedule.

In terms of section 5 (2) (c) of the Harbour Boards Dry Land Endowment Revesting Act 1991 the approval shall take effect on the date of the publication of this notice in the New Zealand Gazette.
