(2) Every licence holder taking a trout or salmon which does not exceed the specified length shall immediately return it with as little injury as possible into the water from which it was taken.

11. Possession of Fishing Licence—Every person taking or attempting to take a sports fish must be in possession of a current fishing licence, to be produced on demand.

12. Revocation—The notice published in the supplement to the Gazette, No. 151 of Thursday 30 August 1990, on pages 3208–3209 titled District Anglers (Hawkes Bay Fish & Game Region) Notice 1990, and Amendments No. 1 and 2 are hereby revoked.

Conservation Act 1987

Declaring Conservation Land to be Set Apart as a Scenic Reserve

Pursuant to section 8 (1A) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation hereby declares that the conservation area described in the Schedule hereto, shall hereafter be set apart as a reserve, subject to the Reserves Act 1977, and to be classified as a scenic reserve, subject to the provisions of section 19 (1) (a) of the latter Act.

Pursuant to sections 4 (1) (a) (ii) and 4 (1) (e) of the Harbour Boards Dry Land Endowment Revesting Act 1991, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares:

1. The land described in the First Schedule hereto, being part of the land referred to in Part A of the Schedule to the said Act as the “Wairoa Harbour lands”, to be revested in the Crown and held as a Government purpose (wildlife management) reserve under the Reserves Act 1977.

2. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto, being those parcels of land referred to in Part C of the Schedule to the said Act as the “Wairoa Harbour lands (b), (c), (d) and (e)”, to be reserved and classified under the Reserves Act 1977 for the purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the said land.

Reserves Act 1977
