Securities Amendment Act 1988

The Authorised Futures Dealers Notice 1993 (No. 6)

Pursuant to section 38 of the Securities Amendment Act 1988, the Securities Commission gives the following notice.

Notice

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Authorised Futures Dealers Notice 1993 (No. 6).
   (2) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. Interpretation—(1) In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires,—

   “The Act” means the Securities Amendment Act 1988;
   “The Exchange” means New Zealand Futures and Options Exchange Limited.

(2) Any term or expression that is not defined in this notice, but that is defined in the Act, has the meaning given to it by the Act.

3. Fixed Interest Brokers (NZ) Limited authorised to carry on business of dealing in futures contracts—(1) Fixed Interest Brokers (NZ) Limited is hereby authorised to carry on the business of dealing in futures contracts generally.

(2) The authorisation referred to in subclause (1) of this clause is subject to the condition that Fixed Interest Brokers (NZ) Limited:

(a) is an introducing broker within the meaning of the rules of the Exchange; and
(b) agrees to be bound by the rules of the Exchange.

Conservation Act 1987

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes

Pursuant to section 7 (1) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation and the Minister of Lands being the Minister responsible for the Department of State that has control of the land hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is held for conservation purposes and it shall thereafter be so held.

Schedule

Otago Land District—Queenstown Lakes District

8.0 hectares, more or less, being Sections 13 and 14, situated in Block V, Coneburn Survey District. S.O. Plan 22367. No certificate of title.

Declaration that a Conservation Area be a Reserve

Pursuant to section 8 (1A) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation declares that the conservation area described in the Schedule hereto shall hereafter be set apart as a reserve subject to the Reserves Act 1977, and classified as a local purpose reserve subject to the provisions of the latter Act.

2.66 hectares, more or less, being Section 1, S.O. 23926, situated in Block X, Leaning Rock Survey District. No certificate of title.

Pursuant to section 7 (1) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation and the Minister of Forestry, being the Minister responsible for the Department of State that has control of the land described in the Schedule hereto, jointly declare that the land is held for conservation purposes and it shall hereafter be so held.

36.2500 hectares, more or less, being Lot 2, D.P. S. 57544, situated in Blocks I and V, Rotoma Survey District. Part New Zealand Gazette 1920, page 2109 and being part of the land comprised in Section 4 of the State Forest Amendment Act 1973.
