Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986

Approval of Course in Map Reading

Pursuant to section 48 (2) (a) of the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986; and pursuant to a delegation given by the Secretary for Transport in an instrument dated the 1st day of October 1991, I, Warren Gillespie Simeon, Controller, Road User Standards, hereby approve the following organisation to conduct courses in map reading for the purposes of regulation 11 (1) (c) of the Transport (Driver Licensing) Regulations 1987:

Fergusson Driving School, Christchurch.

Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977

Wairiki Rural Fire District Notice 1988

Pursuant to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977, The National Rural Fire Authority hereby makes the following notice.

Notice

  1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Wairiki Rural Fire District Notice 1988, Amendment No. 1.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the 28th day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

  1. (1) The notice constituting the Wairiki Rural Fire District made on the 28th day of November 1988 (a) (hereinafter, in this clause, referred to as the principal notice) is hereby amended by revoking clauses 5 of the principal notice, and substituting the following clauses:

“5. The Wairiki Rural Fire District for the purposes of the Act, be administered by a rural fire committee which shall be known as the Wairiki Rural Fire Committee.

  1. The committee shall consist of twelve members as follows:

(a) Six persons appointed, in writing, by Tasman Forestry Limited signed on behalf of that company by one director and the secretary thereof;

(b) One person appointed, in writing, by Forestry Corporation of New Zealand Limited signed on behalf of that company by one director and the secretary thereof;

(c) One person appointed, in writing, by Caxton Paper Mills Limited signed on behalf of that company by one director and the secretary thereof;

(d) One person appointed, in writing, by the Bay of Plenty Regional Council;

(e) One person appointed, in writing, by the Director-General of the Department of Conservation;

(f) One person appointed, in writing, by the trustees of the Tuhoe Waikaremoana Trust Board; and

(g) One person appointed, in writing, by the Federated Farmers of New Zealand Incorporated (Bay of Plenty Province)”.

(2) This clause shall be read together and be deemed part of the principal notice.
